Joie to the world

It’s better to give than to receive, but in the case of new online gifting service Joie (pronounced joy) the appeal is very much a two-way thing.
The Christchurch-based venture is the brainchild of friends Angela Gordon and Angela Beynon-Lee who saw a gap in the gifting marketing for something more personalised and less expensive. Depending on the box, you’ll find treats such as hand cream, tea, lip balm, chocolate and candles.
Those giving the gifts, corporate or individual, choose online from a range of items and boxes created by the two Angelas, upload a photo and message and the gift is couriered the next day. One of the flaps tears off to become a stand-up card, complete with photo

Joie is disrupting the gifting market

Joie (pronounced Joy) is New Zealand’s newest online gifting experience and we are doing things differently. We are out of the box in both design and concept.

Our little boxes of Joie, allow the sender to easily send personalised presents in a gorgeous box that becomes a card, creating a perfect moment of surprise and delight for both the sender and receiver of the gift.

We have personally designed and created all our unique and stylish boxes which can be kept or reused. Our cards add the personal touch, perforated to allow for easy separation from the box, creating a beautiful stand up card. All our gorgeous products are hand picked by us made mainly by awesome kiwis.

Our Story Behind the Brand

Behind the Brand Joie is the creation of Ange and Ang, and these ladies are wasting no time in making their mark. A culmination of life experiences, personality, a love of giving and lots of hard work, these ladies are thinking outside the box and gifting inside the perfect box! When they met 5 years ago, it didn’t take long for them to see they had a special connection. Each having two children at similar stages, their friendship grew as they laughed, cried and supported each other through all the ups and downs of motherhood and life. These shared experiences formed a strong foundation, and after many years in successful corporate roles, the realisation came that success means something slightly different to them now. Combining perseverance, positivity, creativity and attention to detail they knew they had a recipe for something very special. And so Joie was born.
